How to Add Products to Your Catalog

Adding Products:

click on the 'Products' tab and click 'Add Product' to create a product.
give the product a name and a product ID to identify it by.
give the product a category; this will organize your catalog.
a subcategory is optional but it can be useful.
the description is what will appear when you view the product's page.
the short description is what will appear if the product is found with the site search.
the price can be a whole number (3 or 120) or a decimal (5.55). Do not include the $ sign.
you can add options such as size and color. This is not required.
if you give it a discount then the original price will show up crossed out and the discount will be in red.
if you click on the 'Use Inventory' button you can enter the amount of the product that you have available.
you can add the image of the product if it is uploaded to your file library.
You Must check the box 'Show Product in Online Catalog' to put the product in your catalog.
You must also add a catalog page and publish it to view the products online and view the shopping cart.
